Projects

projectsDevelop skills that you don't have a chance to use at work or wish to develop to improve your career path by being part of a project team.

All the meetings are held in the evenings or at weekends and you can put as much or as little in depending on your time and other commitments. Many of our members play a small role on a number of teams and it is a great way to develop friendships, business contacts and experience. We run projects such as:

  1. Awards
JCI runs multiple awards including The Outstanding Yound Person Award and Creative Young Entrepreneur.
  2. Community Projects
There are always opportunities to assist with projects in partnership with our partner charities which include UNICEF. You can get involved by using your professional and personal skills whilst giving something back to the community. Take part in Speak to Santa, JCI Aberdeen's annual festive community project. This 'feel-good' event is organised by JCI Aberdeen in December every year. Run over 2 evenings, it provides the opportunity for young children to telephone Santa and his helpers and tell him what they would like for Christmas.
  3. Race Night Event
This project to raise money for UNICEF and a nominated local charity.
  4. Grampian Industrialist of the Year Award and Dinner
Help organise our annual business award and gala dinner. This is a great way to meet new people and also develop event organising experience. There's no need to have any previous experience. Join now for 2011-2012
